Our Team

  • Dr Mary Miller

    Clinical Psychologist

I’m passionate about working with people and organisations to help them build mental wellness and resilience. The second wave of wellbeing goes beyond traditional ideas of stress management and resilience to grow the foundations for people to truly thrive.

I co-own a private clinic called Therapy Space in Auckland, where I practise as a New Zealand registered Clinical Psychologist. I’ve worked for the Auckland District Health Board and a number of private clinic settings. I’ve worked with SKY TV, Reuters Thompson, the international engineering firm Norman Disney Young, University of Auckland, and Auckland University of Technology. My latest work - Fierce Compassion - is breaking new ground in leadership development.

  • Chris Stanley

    Registered Psychologist

I have always been fascinated by human behaviour, particularly the dynamics of groups and the culture within businesses and organisations. After gaining extensive experience in various roles in the Education Sector from 2013 to 2017, I began working as a consultant psychologist for a New Zealand company that holds several contracts with ACC. This role has allowed me to collaborate with individuals, NGOs, and businesses across the country.

In addition to my consulting work with Miller and Co., I run a private therapy clinic in Whakatāne. My strengths lie in effective collaboration and understanding my clients' perspectives. I take a future-focused approach, prioritising preventative strategies rather than simply addressing issues as they arise.

  • Matt Hegan

    Registered Psychologist

I love to see people thrive in their life. I often see systems that could do with some tweaking so people can fit into them! That is where my passion lies- small changes (or large ones) so that people can be people. I also see technology as something to embrace and harness, as long as it is person-centred.

I have worked for government organisations as well as myself, contracting to technology startups and other NGOs, as well as seeing private clients for therapy.

I currently spend my time as an advisor for a government organisation as well as private contracting work. I hold clinical governance roles in both my day-to-day and non paid work (for example Board of Trustees for a NGO).
